Stonehenge birthdate discovered by archaeologists
Telegraph - The monument’s original stones were erected in about 2300 BC, it has been discovered - 300 years later than had previously been thought. Analysis has indicated that the original circle of bluestones was transported to the site from the Preseli hills, 150 miles away in South Wales - an extraordinary feat.

Duša malog čoveka
Večernje novosti - Činjenica je da je u surovom kapitalističkom svetu prava književnost skrajnuta, jer ljudi kod kojih je novac ulažu prevashodno u vizuelne umetnosti i u muziku. Njih zanimaju šarenilo reflektora, spektakl i buka, a za literaturu pokazuju veoma malo interesovanja. Šta nam je činiti? Očekujem da će se pojaviti oni koji poznaju tu strukturu čvrstog kapitalističkog sveta i njegovog funkcionisanja i da će uspeti da pronađu prolaz za književnost u tom svetu. Lično ne posedujem tu vrstu energije, ali u ovom demonskom svetu novca, ljudi koji se bave književnošću moraju da se bore za svoja prava i sudbinu knjige uopšte oružjem samog kapitalizma.

New York Times - Every war has its own culture. Obviously, part of a war’s cultural milieu reflects contemporary modes in the countries involved. However, historians like Paul Fussell and Modris Eksteins have demonstrated how engagement in an ongoing military struggle affects the collective consciousness and self-regard of a nation, creating a transactional process between the front lines and the civilian street. Somebody seems to be winning, someone else losing, but often the important consequences of a wartime situation are not the direct results of decisions in the theater of operations.
