One More for the Most-Wanted List?
Transitions Online - In early May in a bar in the southern New York town of Binghamton, Miladin Kovacevic is alleged to have beaten a fellow university student so severely that the young man lay in a coma for more than two months. The victim’s full recovery remains in doubt. Kovacevic, a basketball player at Binghampton University, was arrested and surrendered his Serbian passport. His family posted his bail and then a Serbian consulate official in New York, Igor Milosevic, gave him emergency travel documents, allowing him to flee to Serbia. Foreign Minster Vuk Jeremic has said his country’s laws do not permit the extradition of its citizens.
