Telegraph - Sixty years on we will have moved from Checkpoint Charlie to Checkpoint Georgia. It is a bad scenario. We can avoid it only by surrendering. But we do have something to thank the Russians for. They seem to have given us a choice. Or perhaps this is the real hollowness of their “victory”. Since surrender to Russia cannot be an option they have in fact given us no choice. Mr. Medvedev will wish to reflect.
