New Republic - I’ve recently been perusing a copy of The Bush Boom: How a ‘Misunderestimated’ President Fixed Our Broken Economy, by right-wing commentator and National Review contributor Jerry Bowyer. Ah, yes, the Bush Boom. It’s a bygone era, a time of hope, like the Kennedy years. Also like Camelot, the Bush Boom was tragically cut short–by, um, the Bush recession. Actually, the second Bush recession, to be precise.
