The Government’s attempt to duck its promise of a referendum - by claiming that the treaty is fundamentally different from the EU constitution rejected in 2005 - faces its final challenges. On Monday, the High Court starts hearing a judicial review of that decision, brought by businessman Stuart Wheeler.

BBC - Via a website called Change.gov, the Obama campaign plans to provide a guide to the transition process. The site also solicits suggestions from US citizens about their vision for America, and lets them apply for a post with the new administration.
