Patti Smith, Brian Eno, Pete Doherty, Miss Kittin, The Kills in drugi glasbeniki, ki ustvarjajo od leta 1970 do danes, se v palači Bozar v Bruslju prvič predstavljajo s svojimi risbami, fotografijami, skulpturami, videi in drugimi stvaritvami s področja vizualne umetnosti. Razstava It’s not only Rock’n'Roll, Baby! bo na ogled še do 14. septembra.

Avtor razstave je Jérôme Sans, ustanovitelj in nekdanji direktor Palais de Tokyo v Parizu in sedanji direktor Ullens Center for Contemporary Art v Pekingu.

I have always been attracted by the idea of accompanying an artist who is launching a unique project, or of presenting to the Art world the visual side of an artist whose work is recognized in quite different speheres. Music has always been a part of my world and featured in most of my exhibitions. I have often involved musicians in projects that I have organized over the last two decades. For years, music and art have fostered a mythical relationship, often explored in the light of their theoretical and historical links. It’s not only Rock ‘n’ Roll, Baby! is aiming to tell the intimateand unusual story of twenty artists for whom art is the bedrock of a transversal artistic universe.

Po drevesnih skulpturah Yoko Ono se razstava nadaljuje s svetlobnimi inštalacijami Alana Vege in pisanimi figurami Biance Casady. V sobi z ogromnim polžem so na ogled slike Kyle Field, svoje slike predstavljata Patti Smith in Devendra Banhart. David Bryne se predstavlja z deblom umetniških sanj, Nick Zinner ima razstavljene svoje fotografije. Residents pa si obiskovalec zapomni, kakopak, po maskah v obliki očesa.
